Trinity Evangelical Divinity School offers degrees that equip students to pursue God’s calling in their lives. Each program offered at TEDS is designed so that students 1) know the gospel, 2) live out the gospel, and 3) make the gospel known to all. With three levels of degree, including certificates, master’s degrees, and doctorate, students will find their perfect fit in their desired area of study.
Leading Programs at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School
Three of the leading programs offered at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School include Master of Divinity (MDiv), AP Master of Divinity (AP MDiv), and Master of Theology (ThM). Through the Master of Divinity Program, students will gain pastoral leadership skills as they conquer rigorous academic courses and gain spiritual formation. Students can choose from either residential or fully online options. Through the development of skills and training in Scriptural interpretation, theology, Christian worldview, leadership, preaching, and more, students will leave feeling prepared for lifelong ministry.
If students are coming with a prior ministry degree at an accredited Bible college or Christian liberal arts school, it may be wise to consider the AP Master of Divinity. In addition to reducing the number of overall hours required, this option also allows students to take additional electives in an area they might feel particularly called.
Trinity’s Master of Theology program serves as an optional, one-year addition building on a Master of Divinity degree. Offering academic concentrations in a targeted area, this program has clearly benefited students’ future ministries through eight discipline concentrations: Church History, Counseling, Educational Studies, Mission and Evangelism, New Testament, Old Testament, Pastoral Theology, and Systematic Theology.

Ministry
With fifteen specific ministry programs at TEDS, students can find the perfect that will equip them for the unique calling God has on their lives. TEDS offers ministry certificates in Children and Family Ministry, Educational Ministries, Leadership in Missions, Ministry Care, Organizational Leadership, and Teaching and Learning.
For students seeking master’s level programs in ministry, TEDS offers three unique programs: Chaplaincy and Ministry Care, Educational Ministries, and Intercultural Studies. Lastly, TEDS offers five doctoral programs: Doctor of Ministry, the Thriving Immigrant Churches Track for Doctor of Ministry, The Korean Doctorate of Ministry, PhD in Educational Studies, and PhD in Intercultural Studies.
Bioethics
For students aspiring for a future in bioethics, TEDS offers three distinct programs. First, students may attain a Master of Arts in Bioethics through a one-and-a-half-year program. Additionally, students may acquire two unique certificates in bioethics at TEDS: a certificate in Hippocratic Healthcare Ethics and/or a certificate in Pro-Life Advocacy and Engagement.
Counseling
TEDS offers two distinct programs for the student aspiring towards a career or calling in counseling. Students may obtain a certificate in Christian counseling within a fifteen-credit hour program. On a more intensive level, students are also able to acquire a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling within two and a half years. The Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling is fully accredited by CACREP and prepares you to become a licensed mental health professional upon graduation. Through your studies, you will master methods and practices of counseling, while also learning how to ethically integrate Christian faith into theory and practice.
Theology
TEDS offers nine distinct theological programs. On a certificate level, students may acquire certificates in both Biblical and Theological Studies and/or Christian Foundations. As previously mentioned, students may also acquire a Master of Divinity within three years or an advanced placement track of two and a half years.
Additionally, TEDS offers three master’s degrees in the fields of Church History, Systematic Theology, and Theological Studies. Lastly, for students seeking to pursue theology within a research-level program, TEDS offers the Master of Theology (ThM), as well as a PhD in Theological Studies.
Biblical Studies
Trinity offers five programs in the area of Biblical studies. Students may acquire certificates in Scripture, Old Testament Hebrew, or New Testament Greek. On the master’s level, Trinity offers two distinct programs: New Testament or Old Testament and Semitic Languages.
