Biblical and Theological Studies

Our Certificate in Biblical and Theological Studies allows you to choose what master’s-level courses you need in order to strengthen your ministry. And since it is available at our Deerfield campus, entirely online, and through our extension sites, you gain another layer of flexibility. You may be a leader who wants to grow in your teaching ability, or at a career transition and wondering about going into ministry. Or you may want to improve at what you’re already doing. Whatever work you’ve been given, our Certificate program can help you do it better. TEDS is known for its world-class faculty who will instruct and interact with you throughout your program of study.
The Certificate in Biblical and Theological Studies is 12 credit hours which consists of 2 hours of Biblical Studies, 2 hours of Theological Studies, and 8 hours of Electives. An admissions counselor will help you customize a unique program of courses to fit your interests.

Prerequisites

In addition to the requirements for general admission, you’ll need the following:
  • Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree (or the educational equivalent) from a recognized, accredited institution.
  • Undergraduate grade point average of 2.0 or greater on a 4.0 scale. GRE or MAT scores may be required for those whose GPA falls below 2.0
