Master's Degree in

Intercultural Studies

Trinity’s Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies will prepare you to respond to a complex and diverse world. If you are or are looking to become a missionary, this program will deepen your biblical understanding, strengthen your intercultural ministry skills and elevate your intercultural communication skills. You will have the opportunity to study with an internationally experienced and knowledgeable faculty. This program also prepares you for our Doctor of Philosophy in Intercultural Studies.
The complexity of ministry in a world of globalization, resurgent traditional religions, growth of the non-Western church, migration, urbanization, and rapid change demands the highest quality of academic, spiritual, and practical preparation. Trinity’s MA in Intercultural Studies seeks to meet this need in a flexible and integrated format.
“I have been pursuing a call to mission work since I was a child, and the MA Intercultural Studies program at TEDS has helped to prepare me to pursue that call. I have learned so much from our faculty at TEDS that has reshaped how I view and approach ministry in a variety of contexts. My professors and peers have also given me so much support and encouragement as a woman pursuing ministry, and I am incredibly grateful.”

Classroom discussions are enriched by the participation of students from around the globe. Together we study God’s Word, learning how to understand it and put it into practice in our diverse and changing contexts. Our passion is engaging in God’s mission in the world — through our words and our deeds, whether at home or abroad.”
