Welcome!

We are so grateful for our financial partners who have faithfully supported the ministry at Trinity this past year. God has continued to work powerfully through the university, as seen in the examples below. From pulpits in the Midwest to courtrooms in California to the battlefield in Ukraine, our graduates are serving Christ and impacting culture worldwide.
We pray these stories encourage and inspire you as you read them and ask that, as you are reminded of them, you continue to pray for Trinity. As we have for more than 126 years, we remain wholly dependent on His blessing and provision.

TEDS Associate Professor Joshua Jipp Named Director of the Henry Center

For nearly twenty years, the Henry Center has sought to bridge the gap between the academy and the church by cultivating resources and communities that advance Christian wisdom. Jipp is the center’s fourth Director, following the leadership of Douglas Sweeney, Thomas McCall and, most recently, Geoffrey Fulkerson. “I believe the theological academy operates best when it is informed by and invested in addressing the challenges that face our churches,” Jipp commented. “I have seen how the Henry Center has helped foster meaningful relationships between the academy and the church, and have witnessed first-hand the rich benefits of such relationships.”

Trinity Partners with Ukrainian Universities, Colleges, and Seminaries to Offer Chaplaincy Training

In the fall of 2022, Trinity was approached by several higher-education institutions in Ukraine for support of theological education courses, chaplaincy, mental health training, trauma care, and faculty and leadership development. Trinity’s faculty and leadership quickly embraced the opportunity to share Trinity’s expertise and come alongside fellow educators to bridge any gaps resulting from the loss of staff or support. Since then Trinity has developed a two-credit post-baccalaureate course, Chaplain Ministries: Calling, Role, and Function. Dr. John Carter, assistant professor of pastoral theology at TEDS, will be the faculty of record for this 14-week introductory course. More than 400 students registered for the course.

TEDS Receives $1.25 Million Grant to create the Center for Faith and Children

Trinity International University has received a five-year, $1.25 million grant from Lilly Endowment Inc., to help establish the Center for Faith and Children. This new center, based at the university’s Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, will be led by assistant professor of Educational Ministries, Dr. Mimi Larson. Lilly Endowment made the grant through its Nurturing Children Through Worship and Prayer Initiative. The Center for Faith and Children will equip ministry leaders through educational opportunities, research and vision; empower the local church with training, assistance, and imagination; and encourage parents by developing curated resources, tips, and encouragement through a dynamic website, podcast, research articles, and a conference. “By creating and sustaining this center, we hope to deepen the conversation regarding children and their ability to make meaning of faith and cast a vision for children’s faith formation that is rooted in research and equips ministry leaders with both education and practical ministry solutions.”

Trinity International University Announces Exciting Partnership with Israel Institute of Biblical Studies

Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (TEDS) partners with the Israel Institute of Biblical Studies (IIBS), a collaboration that promises to open new doors for online biblical language learning not only for alumni and friends of the University but also for constituents of IIBS. This partnership brings together, on the one side, IIBS’s success as a global provider of informal, online, introductory-level biblical-language training, and, on the other side, TEDS’s recognized excellence in preparing students for the reading and interpreting of the Greek and Hebrew texts. Whereas IIBS already has a similar partnership with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Trinity is proud to call itself IIBS’s evangelical partner, joining the broader effort to deepen the world’s knowledge of the scriptures while unabashedly lending its own distinctive evangelical stamp.
