Deerfield, IL – Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (TEDS, the divinity school of Trinity International University) is thrilled to announce the enrollment of 359 students in the Ukrainian Chaplain undergraduate certificate program. This milestone marks a significant step in Trinity International University’s commitment to serving Ukrainian pastors, chaplains, and other leaders with pastoral and spiritual life skills.
The Ukrainian Chaplain Certificate program is designed for Ukrainians who wish to serve as chaplains and master pastoral and spiritual life skills. It offers introductory training for leaders serving in local churches or in other areas of direct assistance to people. The program is directed by Dr. Oleg M. Tsymbalyuk, an ordained and licensed pastor with over 30 years of ministry experience.
“We are excited about this opportunity to equip Ukrainian leaders with the skills they need to serve their communities effectively,” said Dr. Tsymbalyuk. “We believe that this program will have a significant impact on the lives of our students and those they serve.”
The program includes four courses held over seven weeks, with comprehensive training and assistance offered in both Ukrainian and English. Thanks to the generosity of donors and the University, this program is being offered to Ukrainian students at no cost to them. The effort is a joint project between TEDS and Ostroh Academy and resulted in the hiring of 11 highly qualified teaching assistants in Ukraine to support the online educational process.
