Thomas Limon

Professor Limón attended Gonzaga University School of Law on a merit scholarship. There he interned with Judge Annette Plese of the Spokane County Superior Court and worked in Gonzaga University’s General Law Clinic. After graduation, he moved to New Mexico with his wife and two sons to begin his legal career.

Professor Limón considers himself to be a recovering litigator, and he has tried approximately 100 trials as both first and second chair. He has tried cases in both state and federal courts, and he has won appeals in the Federal Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Professor Limón has worked as an Assistant City Attorney where he handled in-house litigation for the City of Las Cruces, primarily in the area of 42 U.S.C. 1983 and personal injury. Prior to opening his own practice, he worked at the Office of the Third Judicial District Attorney in Las Cruces, NM. There he rose through the ranks before leaving the office as a Deputy District Attorney where he was responsible for prosecuting high level felonies, including homicides and sex crimes, and supervised the misdemeanor unit.

Professor Limón now primarily practices in the areas of wills, trusts, and probate. He is also working towards his Master of Arts in Christian Ministry from Regent University. Professor Limón ministers to high school aged Sunday School students at St. Francis Anglican Cathedral in El Paso, TX, and he is a postulant for ordination to the diaconate in the Anglican Church of North America. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, reading great books, gardening, and writing fiction.
