ADJUNCT PROFESSOR
Mr. Blevins received his undergraduate degree from Carson Newman College where he was the outstanding graduate in history for his class. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law where he was a member of the Intrastate Mock Trial Team and received the book award for constitutional law. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Blevins practiced law in Dalton, Georgia with Robert A. Whitlow, then as a member of Blevins & Blevins, P.C. and most recently as sole member of David J. Blevins, P.C. Mr. Blevins’ practice was focused on personal injury, estate litigation, commercial litigation, and estate administration. From 2012 to 2014 he served as a Georgia Superior Court judge. From 2011 to 2012 he served as a member of the Georgia State Personnel Board. Mr. Blevins presently teaches torts at Trinity Law School and is a Georgia registered mediator. Mr. Blevins’ published works include The "Made Whole Doctrine From the Georgia Perspective," 31 Ga. Bar J. 149 (1995); "Lest We be Judged, The Dilemma of Judicial Power, a Lawyer’s Perspective," 19.1 Christian Legal Society Quarterly 4 (Winter 1998); and "Uninsured Motorist Benefits in Light of Thurman vs. State Farm," 23 Ga. Bar J. 18 ( 2017). Mr. Blevins attends Rock Bridge Community Church in Dalton.
