Ms. Schlieter serves as an Assistant Counsel to the Inspector General at the U.S. Small Business Administration Office of Inspector General (SBA-OIG). She works on civil and criminal investigations, compliance, ethics, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act, employment matters as well as appropriations and fiscal law matters.

Prior to joining SBA OIG, Ms. Schlieter served as an attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice, focusing on white collar crime and fiscal law issues. Her career also includes working for several Members of Congress, law firms and several non-profits. She attended the University of California as an undergraduate and received her Juris Doctorate from George Mason University School of Law while working full-time for a Member of Congress. Ms. Schlieter is active in her church and community having led the relaunch of Young Life in Alexandria, VA.
