Following a career as a high school English teacher, Julie Resner earned her Juris Doctor degree from Trinity Law School. While in law school, she was a member of the Law Review and the Moot Court team and interned with the Office of the Attorney General, Civil Division. After passing the bar on her first attempt, Professor Resner practiced in the areas of family and elder law. Passionate about serving the underserved, she focused on pro bono and “low bono” advocacy by serving on the Board of Directors for Christian Legal Aid of Orange County, volunteering in legal aid clinics, and co-writing “Pursuing Justice for All” for the Journal of Christian Legal Thought. Professor Resner is now retired and enjoys volunteering in the local community, teaching at Trinity Law School, and spending time with family and friends.
