Lina Yen Hughes has been practicing immigration law for over 25 years and is admitted to the State Bar of California and the United States Supreme Court. She received her J.D. and Certificate in Governmental Affairs from McGeorge School of Law (1997), an M.A. in Psychology from Pepperdine University (2023), and a B.A. in English Literature with a minor in Ethnic Studies from U.C. Berkeley (1994). She is the principal attorney of Yen Hughes Law, a small law firm based in Sacramento dedicated exclusively to the practice of U.S. immigration and nationality law. Born in Taiwan, Lina grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and speaks Mandarin Chinese. She enjoys traveling, escape rooms, playing the piano and guitar, and listening to podcasts on theology, law, and culture.
