Steven O’Herin

Steven O'Herin studied philosophy at UCLA, before earning his J.D. at Pepperdine, along with certificates in criminal legal practice and alternative dispute resolution. Professor O'Herin began his legal career in criminal prosecution and has now been practicing civil litigation at a firm in Torrance, California, for nearly a decade. He represents both plaintiffs and defendants in matters ranging from personal injury and employment law, to insurance subrogation and class actions. Professor O'Herin participated in mock trial competitions before and during law school, and now enjoys judging trial competitions as well as speech and debate tournaments for young adults and teenagers. He is active in his local church in La Mirada, where he lives with his wife and puppy.
