Laurie Stewart is licensed to practice law in California and Iowa. Her legal practice has focused on ADR, civil litigation, and municipal law. In 2006, she received the C. William Carlson award from Pacific Justice Institute for her “exceptional level of integrity and commitment” for her work in religious freedom. In Iowa, she served on the Iowa Supreme Court Family Law Task Force ADR Work Group. Professor Stewart is currently the CEO and President of Peacemaker Ministries. She teaches groups all over the world on conflict resolution, human rights, and Christian apologetics. She has served on the boards of several organizations, including Ratio Christi, Women in Apologetics, and Iowa Association of Mediators. Professor Stewart has published several articles, including “A Cross-Cultural Analysis of Women, Religion, and the Law” for the Western Australian Jurist and “Reviving Religious Liberty in America,” for the Nexus Journal of Opinion, and most recently, “On the Record of Women’s Rights: Assessing Women’s Rights According to Worldview” for Ratio Christi. Professor Stewart has taught at Trinity Law School since 2018. Her classes include Legal Research & Writing, Advanced Legal Writing, Foundational Skills for Christian ADR, and Torts.
