OF ACADEMIC SUPPORT AND CLINICAL PROGRAMS
After earning her bachelor’s degree in history, Joy Statler attended Trinity Law School, graduating with her JD in 2006. During law school, she was a staff editor for the Trinity Law Review, served as student body president, and completed an internship with the Pacific Justice Institute. Following graduation, she worked as a staff attorney with the Christian Legal Aid Office, focusing primarily on family law.
In 2010, Dean Statler became the Supervising Attorney of the Trinity Law Clinic at the Orange County Rescue Mission, where she oversaw student interns serving residents of one of the nation’s largest long-term homeless shelters for 12 years. Presently, she coordinates Trinity’s clinical program, which includes five offices offering hands-on training for students across various legal specialties that serve underrepresented communities. She also oversees the Academic Support department, guiding students through their coursework, academic milestones, and Bar Exam preparation.
Dean Statler teaches Mastering the MBE and Advanced Exam Approaches and Skills.
