Dean Clark is an Orange County native and graduated from Anaheim Union High School. Thereafter, he attended Point Loma College in San Diego, California, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Political Science. While at Point Loma College, he published twice. He then earned his Juris Doctor Degree from Western State College of Law. During his studies at Western State, he was employed full-time with the in-house counsel unit of State Farm Insurance Company. Also, while enrolled at Western State, he was an Editorial Board member of the Law Review and published an article in their Law Review. He also competed in Moot Court being awarded as an oralist, served in student government, as an officer of his law fraternity, and as a teacher’s aide.

Upon passing the California Bar Examination, he was an associate attorney at the firm of Parker, Stanbury, McGee, Babcock and Combs in Santa Ana, California, where he began in practice in the areas of civil litigation and appeals. Thereafter, he became a senior trial attorney at the in-house counsel unit for Safeco Insurance Company where he continued to practice in the areas of civil litigation and appeals. While at both Parker, Stanbury, et al, and Safeco Insurance Company, he taught as an adjunct professor of law at Western State College of Law, Trinity Law School, and Concordia University, Irvine.

Since 2007, he has managed his own practice. He is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell, which is their highest national rating both in terms of technical ability and ethical practice standards. He served as both Judge Pro Tem and a Temporary Judge of the Orange County Superior Court for over 20 years, and served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Orange County Legal Education Foundation for over 30 years.

He is licensed to practice before all of the Courts of the State of California, all four of the U.S. District Courts in California, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Supreme Court, and the U.S. Court of Military Appeals. He is a member of the California Bar, the American Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association, the Christian Legal Society, and the Federalist Society.

He began teaching as an adjunct professor at Trinity Law School in 2005. He joined the full-time faculty in 2013, and began serving as the Associate Dean in 2015. While at Trinity, he has taught courses in Alternative Dispute Resolution, Civil Litigation Skills, Contracts, Legal Writing, Logic and Advocacy, Negotiations for Law and Business, Professional Responsibility, Remedies, Torts, and Wills and Trusts.

He and his family are members of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Orange, California, where has served as an elected member of the Council of Elders; including being elected the Chairman of the Council of Elders; and the Council of Trustees. He continues to serve the congregation as a Liturgist.
