ADJUNCT PROFESSOR
Mr. Tshibaka was born in the Philippines and lived in Africa, South America, and Europe throughout his childhood. His father, an African immigrant and former political refugee, was born in a rural village in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Mr. Tshibaka's faith in Christ, his multi-cultural upbringing, and his experiences living abroad have shaped his views on many of the important issues our nation and world face today. He is a graduate of Amherst College (magna cum laude) and Harvard Law School, where he met and married his amazing wife, Kelly. His career has spanned both the private and public sectors, including government service at the federal, state, and local levels. He spent five years working in private practice and as a Trial Attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division. Later, he became an ordained minister, anti-human trafficking activist, and entrepreneur.
Mr. Tshibaka currently lives in Alaska where he has served in executive level positions in state and local government, including as the Assistant Commissioner for Alaska’s Department of Education and Early Development.
