While the Records or Registrar's office typically provides registration services it also supplies other needs of prospective, current and former students.
Generally, the Records Office maintains all student records, past and present, for those who have attended both the University and Miami Christian College. If you have attended either of those two schools in South Florida, we're the place to contact for your official academic record.
Also, for those students who are eligible to receive veteran's education benefits, the University in South Florida maintains standards set and administrated by the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs State Approving Agency. We offer the services to assist you in your application for such benefits and your certification of enrollment to the appropriate agency.
When the time approaches for graduation, the Records Office finalizes your program completion audit and determines your eligibility for degree conferral, academic honors and commencement attendance.
All loan deferment requests are processed through the Records Office. Normally, on a regular basis throughout each semester, enrollment data is electronically submitted to the federal government through a clearinghouse. This data is processed and later becomes accessible to student loan providers to determine eligibility for loan deferment based upon in-school status. Request by students for hard copy submissions should be sent to the Records Office for processing to the respective loan agency.
Please review the subsequent pages for detailed information concerning the services provided by the Records Office.
