Why Trinity

PERSONAL. PRACTICAL. BIBLICAL.

A DISTINCTIVE EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE
At Trinity,  you make your educational journey your own through personalized learning guided by Christian faculty and experiential opportunities that practically help you develop as a professional. You’ll be equipped to think critically and biblically in every area of life as you are challenged to apply your faith to your coursework and classroom conversations. All along the way, you’ll be cared for and supported, ensuring that you make the most of your college experience. It’s a choice, not a checklist.
Instead of approaching general education as a checklist of courses to be completed, Trinity’s distinctive educational approach gives you the freedom to select courses that are most interesting and relevant to you.  Working closely with your faculty advisor, you can choose from electives to enhance your major, apply toward a minor, create a double major, or simply experience something new. The choices are yours! Personalized process for selecting a major.

It’s unlike any other Christian college: Our personalized process starts the moment you register for classes. Whether you’ve declared a major or are undecided, our faculty walk with you to help you discern God’s calling on your life. Starting as a new student, you will select from one of five areas of focus (called meta-majors), which immediately provides you with a relevant advisor to ask questions, explore academic gifting, and discern career paths.  In addition, faculty initiate regular meetings with student small groups outside of class and offer regular office hours. Strong biblical foundation.

World-renowned Trinity Evangelical Divinity School professors teach the college’s Bible and theology courses. But growing your faith is not limited to those classes. All faculty integrate Christian thinking and living into their classroom. Developing crucial employment skills.

Hands-on experience remains a hallmark of a Trinity College education. In fact, many employers specifically seek out Trinity students for internships and employment. With every major requiring at least one internship, and every student participating in two semesters of service learning, these practical experiences help you prepare for a career.
