TIU values the brave people who have served and continue to serve in our nation’s military. Navigating your VA benefits should be easy and we are here to make sure that is the case. We strive to support service members and veterans as they pursue a college education and utilize their VA education benefits.
What VA education benefits can I use at TIU? TIU accepts all VA education benefits, and our staff will personally assist you through the process. Some of these benefits include:
  • Chapter 33 – Post 9/11 GI Bill® (Most Common)
  • Chapter 30 – Montgomery GI Bill® (Active Duty)
  • Chapter 35 – Survivors and Dependents Assistance
  • Chapter 1606 – Selected Reserves

3 Initial Steps
  1. Apply to Trinity In addition to filling out the application, provide your transcripts and test scores as needed, and your Joint Services Transcript (JST) for credits you might have earned while in the service.

To determine which credits transfer, have your official Joint Services Transcript (JST) sent directly to Trinity.

Can I use military benefits as a non-degree seeking student?

No, you must be a degree-seeking student to receive military benefits at TIU.
