Are you thinking about transferring to Trinity? Approximately one-third of our new students each year transfer in from other schools, which means you will be greeted by a rich community of people who have made the same life-changing decision to attend Trinity International University as you! We value your participation in university life and offer competitive transfer credit evaluations and transfer-specific scholarships.

We know you probably have a lot of questions about credit equivalency, admission requirements and just where to start. Hopefully, the information below will answer most of your questions. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, our transfer advisor will be happy to help you out. Contact Admissions at 847.317.7000 or email [email protected].

Trinity considers any student with 12 or more hours of previous college credit to be a transfer student. This excludes AP and/or CLEP credit. Here are some answers to the most frequently asked questions by transfer students.

To be admitted, a transfer student needs to submit an online application and have achieved a 2.0 or better cumulative GPA from your previous institutions

Once you have submitted your online application and all of your transcripts, you should hear back from us about admission within one week.

Email: If your previous school(s) have the option of sending transcripts by email, please have them sent to [email protected]

Mail:Trinity International University, Admission Operations 2065 Half Day Rd. Deerfield, IL 60015

For an initial review of your application, Trinity will accept unofficial copies of your transcripts. Upon enrollment, however, official copies of all transcripts are required. A student’s financial aid is also contingent on Trinity receiving official transcripts.

Wondering what credits will transfer to Trinity? We’ve developed Transfer Guides for many community colleges in the Chicagoland area, and for AP and CLEP test equivalencies.

These guides will give you a good idea of what will transfer in, however we are not responsible for alterations of course numbers, titles, or content at the community colleges listed, and upon review of these changes, we reserve the right to alter our transfer equivalencies.

Current Trinity students should consult their academic advisors and the University Records Office prior to registering for courses they intend to use for general education requirements.
