Symphonic Band

Band music has been a part of life at Trinity for half a century. The original pep band assembled to play at athletic events grew into a concert organization in 1960 under the direction of Howard Nelson. National tours began under the leadership of George Strombeck in the late 1960s; this phase of the band’s history culminated in a 1989 South American tour. Today’s Symphonic Band is the product of a rebirth under the dynamic direction of Thomas Hunt, who joined Trinity’s music faculty in 1993, and directed the band’s first European tour in 1998. Musical excellence is at its core and is reflected in the repertoire of classic and contemporary wind band literature. Both music and liberal art majors make up the ensemble that serves to promote a lifetime of service to church, school, and community through music-making. Additionally, Director and music faculty member, Brian Reichenbach, leads the ensemble on tours of Europe with the Concert Choir.

Unless noted, all concerts are held in A.T.Olson Chapel.  Tickets are available at the door or in advance by calling 847.712.6754.
