The Thrive Center is committed to helping students cultivate their academic excellence, become life-long learners, and pursue their personal and professional goals. Our goal is to walk alongside students, meeting them where they are and providing services that will help them thrive in all aspects of their learning experience. To this end, we provide services in the areas of academic support and academic guidance.


We offer services to help students become more efficient, effective, and engaged learners. These include the following.
PEER TUTORING One-on-one or group subject and writing tutoring

TESTING CENTER Available proctoring services are provided for both TIU and Non-TIU tests and examinations; offered for all students under certain conditions with approval from professors. College Level Equivalency Program (CLEP) Exams, Make-up exams/quizzes, Testing accommodations.


Our services help students reflect, apply, and engage in their learning experience, and assist students with academic, personal, or social concerns. We offer the following.
MENTORING One-on-one support and encouragement to help students reach their potential and to assist with their academic, personal, or social concerns
ADDITIONAL SERVICES: Learning style assessments, Note taking and study skills assistance, Time management assistance
