David J. Luy earned his PhD in Religious Studies from Marquette University in the area of Systematic Theology. He is passionate about the role of systematic theology in the life of the church, and humbled by the enormous privilege of equipping future ministers for Christian service. Dr. Luy’s research centers especially upon the historical development and modern appropriation of reformation theology. He lives in Kenosha, WI along with his wife Pam, and their children Kara, Nate and Seth.

He has contributed to various journals, including Luther Digest, The International Journal of Systematic Theology and Modern Theology.
Essays of his have also appeared in the Oxford Encyclopedia of Martin Luther, the Oxford Handbook of the Reception of Aquinas (forthcoming) and an assortment of other volumes.
Dr. Luy is currently writing a book on the fate of Christocentricism in modern theology.
