Cultural Engagement

All are welcome at Trinity! We aim to inspire intercultural unity for the sake of Christ, which we accomplish by promoting dialogue and growth in matters of spiritual formation, justice, and diversity. We also partner with ministries around the world and down the street to connect students with cross-cultural opportunities.

Intercultural Development

The Intercultural Development Office (IDO) wants to see every student feel a sense of belonging within our campus community. We help students celebrate their cultural uniqueness with others who share the same culture while finding common ground with other students who come from different backgrounds.

The mission of the Intercultural Development Office is to promote unity in diversity through engaging students in each of their journeys through identity development, spiritual formation, and intercultural competency.

To foster both this cultural uniqueness and intercultural unity, our campus has several different ethnic Affinity Groups available to our students. These groups gather to build one another up, to have fun in culturally unique ways, and to be a unified voice within our community.

Affinity Groups also engage the larger campus by hosting and attending cultural events put on by student groups. These include cultural heritage weeks, MLK day events, gospel choir concerts, the Apollo Evening of the Arts and Improvisation, multiculturalism workshops, and Halftime Student Success Workshops.

Global Education Trips

Global Education Trips give students the chance to learn, share and experience God’s kingdom work in other countries by assisting Trinity’s partners in Costa Rica, France, Jamaica, Los Angeles, and Uganda.

This amazing personal and spiritual growth opportunity is available on an annual basis. Students minister in teams on both national and international mission projects, often with life-changing results.

Local Partnerships

The Local Community Partnerships and Discipleship Office connects students with local ministry opportunities. Students have an opportunity to learn from ministry practitioners in our local communities as they seek to serve our neighbors well!
