Summer Workload Counsel

Students should plan to spend about 20 hours each week working on each online course. (The one course that extends through the entire summer will have a load of approximately 10 hours weekly.) Students will need Internet access throughout the course period to read materials, interact in class discussions and communicate with the professor. Though courses are asynchronous (meaning you can do your work at any time of day), there are specific assignment deadlines each week. Students should plan to login daily.

Credit Limits

Students may register for up to 12 credit hours during the summer, and may take up to two courses at the same time. For example, a student could take one May term class and one online class in the first half of the summer, and then two online classes in the second half of the summer, or two online classes in each half of the summer.

Summer Financial Aid & Tuition Costs

Tuition May Term: $465/hr

*Online Tuition: $395/hr plus $185 course fee per online class.

Summer 2019 Tuition Rebate: Trinity currently offers a three-year degree option, with free summer tuition for qualified students. Requirement details can be found in Academic Catalog under Three Year Degree Option. Please note that guided studies, independent studies, bioethics summer conference, and internships are not included in the summer tuition rebate.

Beginning summer 2019, the summer tuition rebate will be awarded through Financial Aid based on student eligibility. Those eligible for summer 2019 Pell will be awarded according to registered hours. A student may utilize any remaining Direct Student Loan eligibility not used during the 2018-2019 school year. Contact [email protected] to see if you have any remaining eligibility for this summer.

If a student does not have any remaining Direct Loan or Pell eligibility, or if their remaining eligibility does not cover their summer costs, we then recommend considering a Private/Alternative Loan and/or a Parent PLUS Loan.
