The Pre-Seminary major is designed to enable you to do further graduate studies at a seminary of your choice. Additionally, if you choose to pursue graduate studies at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, one of the top-ranked divinity schools in the nation, you can qualify for advanced standing in the MDiv program!
The Pre-Seminary major usually takes 4 years to complete. You will be required to complete 60 credit hours in the areas of biblical studies, Old Testament, New Testament, elementary Greek, ministry, nonprofit financial management and more!
You can earn a BA and an MDiv at Trinity in only 5 years by enrolling in the Advance BA in Pre-Seminary Studies/MDiv at TEDS.
This major lays a foundation for an effective ministry of biblical understanding in the context of a local church ministry. It is designed to enable you to do further graduate studies at a seminary of your choice. To prepare you for this and to give you a well-rounded education, you’ll take courses in biblical studies, elementary Greek, preaching, ministry, leadership, financial management, business communication and more.
Requirements total 60 hours. This includes 35 hours from the Biblical Studies required courses/cognate areas, 19-22 hours from Christian Ministries and 3-6 hours of additional general education courses.
