Dean of Trinity College

Dr. Karen A. Wrobbel is the Dean of Trinity College and Graduate School and brings many years of experience to the dean’s role. She serves at Trinity both as a teaching faculty member and as a recognized leader through her responsibilities as director of the Division of Education, associate dean, and chair of faculty councils, committees and task forces. Before joining Trinity’s faculty, Karen taught missionary kids (MKs) and other international students at Christian schools in Spain and Venezuela where she spoke Spanish fluently. Karen continues to be actively involved internationally with Christian education through conference speaking, accreditation work, and as a volunteer with two educationally-focused international groups. Her expertise and research interests include the education of MKs and other global nomads, languages and education, and intercultural communication.

Dean of TEDS

Dr. David W. Pao is the Dean of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, where he has been on faculty since 1998. Pao brings more than 25 years of experience in theological education, both as an administrator (10 years as NT department chair) and as a faculty member (23 years as NT professor at TEDS). Pao is an ordained minister in the Chinese Christian Union Church (Chicago)—having served in significant ministry roles while a professor. His preaching and teaching ministries are deeply appreciated around the world, as he makes around 20 (mostly international) trips every year. He is the author or (co)editor of several books and commentaries, including Acts and the Isaianic New Exodus, After Imperialism: Christian Identity in China and the Global Evangelical Movement, and Ascent Into Heaven in the Lukan Writings: New Explorations of Luke’s Narrative Hinge.

Dean of Trinity Law School

Katelin Tooma graduated from Chapman University’s Dale E. Fowler School of Law in 2013, where she was a Merit Scholar and a member of the Law Review and Alternative Dispute Resolution Competition Team. She practiced business litigation in Newport Beach for two years after law school and was also a reporter for the Orange County Business Journal. She has served as a Legal Fellow for International Justice Mission and an Associate Attorney at Bremer Whyte Brown and O’Meara LLP. She served as assistant dean of TLS from 2017 to 2019. In that capacity, she led in academic quality initiatives, the overhaul of the Legal Research & Writing curriculum, donor relations, and strategic planning.
