GIVING CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE

Receive TEDS graduate credit for Movement Day training courses and begin working towards a seminary degree. Apply up to 9 credit hours toward the free electives in the MA/TS program, or the missions electives in the MA/ICS program. All you need to do is submit the one-page special Visiting Student Application form to start earning TEDS credit for courses. Then continue working on a degree program of your choice.


FULL FLEXIBILITY, FULLY FUNDED

Movement Day scholars who have been endorsed by their regional directors can begin a TEDS degree online from anywhere in the world. Pursue formal theological education without relocating to the States or leaving your current ministry. Movement Day will fully fund your education.

TEDS offers the following degree programs to Movement Day Scholars:

MASTER OF ARTS (THEOLOGICAL STUDIES)

Summary: This program draws from a broad curriculum in biblical, theological, historical, and global areas, combined with a substantial number of elective hours that enable each student to uniquely shape their coursework. It is our most flexible program, both in focus and delivery method. It can be completed entirely online, at our extension sites, in combination with online courses, or in summer coursework at the Deerfield campus (as well as traditional full- or part-time formats).
Modalities: fully online, face-to-face on campus or at extension sites, full-time; part-time.

MASTER OF ARTS (INTERCULTURAL STUDIES)

Summary: This program provides specialized study in the discipline of intercultural studies and Christian mission. The MA/ICS is suitable for persons seeking academic preparation for service as missionaries, cross-cultural workers, teachers, strategists, and researchers. It may also serve as an intermediate step toward doctoral study in a related area.
Modalities: modular, face-to-face on campus or at extension sites, online classes, full-time, part-time.

DMIN (DOCTOR OF MINISTRY)

 

DMin Program Updates

1) The revised Doctor of Ministry Program at TEDS is now 30 hours, and the TEDS faculty approved this new program on December 2, 2020. Movement Day participants in the DMin will be admitted (or grandfathered into) this 30-hour program beginning officially with the academic calendar for 2021-2022, starting in the fall of 2021.

2) A Movement Day Concentration will be included in the DMin Program, in Phase 2, as a part of the concentration courses and competencies students choose to complete in that Phase.

3) The 3 Core Courses in the Movement Day DMin emphasis will be administered and taught by Movement Day leaders. The remainder of the program will be delivered by the DMin faculty at TEDS in fulfillment of credits required for graduation in the DMin Program.

NEXT STEPS

Apply Movement Day training course credit towards your TEDS degree. Here’s how to get started.

  1. Ask for a TEDS course registration form when signing up for any of the Movement Day annual
    conferences. This way you can complete up to 9 credit hours of graduate course work and apply it to
    your studies at TEDS.
  2. TEDS will create a student account and academic transcript for you.
  3. At any point (either before or after an Movement Day training event) you can apply to the TEDS MA/
    Theological Studies degree program or the MA/Intercultural Studies program.
  4. Study entirely online.
