Before coming to Trinity, Dr. Moore served as assistant pastor and director of Christian education at Lifeway Wesleyan Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana and as a public school teacher in Indiana and Illinois. Recently he completed twenty years of administrative service to TIU during which time he was Associate Dean of TEDS, Assistant Dean of TGS, and Director of Administration for Doctoral Programs.

Dr. Moore is an ordained minister in the Wesleyan Church and a member of the Wesleyan Theological Society. He is a member of The Association of Theological Schools Board of Commissioners and an active consultant-evaluator for ATS schools. Areas of academic interest include global theological education, intergenerational ministry, and ministry with aging adults. He enjoys summer gardening and grows four varieties of raspberries in his backyard.

Selected Publications

Dr. Moore has published numerous curricula for adults and child education in the church, online courses, and for higher education degree programs. His articles appear in the Baker Dictionary of Christian Education, Theological Education, Evangelical Missions Quarterly, Wesleyan Theological Journal, and Trinity Journal. He recently contributed “Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi: Advocate for Child-Centered Education” to A Legacy of Christian Educators edited by Dr. Elmer Towns.
