Dr. Firestone joined the Trinity community as faculty in 1999. The years prior, he studied, taught, and researched in Hong Kong and Scotland. At Trinity, he has worked at developing the annual “Trinity Debates” through Trinity College and the Henry Center for Theological Understanding and regularly led short-term outreach trips to Eastern Europe. He is the co-founder and co-director of the Summer 360 Program for high school students interested in leadership and education in the university context.
Dr. Firestone enjoys writing poetry, mountain biking, and collecting Legos. He also enjoys making and watching films. He is the co-writer and co-producer of the short film Last Wish (2010) and the feature film Killing Poe (2017).
