Congratulations on being accepted to a program at Trinity Graduate School. We are excited to have you join and contribute to our learning community. Now that you’ve been accepted, there are a few things you need to do to make sure your transition to TGS is a smooth one.
After you’ve received your acceptance letter, please submit your Notice of Intention online. Distance Education and Extension Site students do not need to complete the online Notice of Intention. Here is the Notice of Intention for U.S. Citizens and International Students:
Before class registration opens, you will be granted your network username and password for myTIU. This will provide access to important information and resources such as syllabi, course schedules, and academic advising. These credentials will also grant you access to your Trinity Gmail account and more.
myTIU – This is Trinity’s online campus portal. It houses resources and information you’ll need as a current student. You can find it at my.tiu.edu.
TIU email – TIU uses Gmail for all official university online communications. If you do not receive your TIU network account, contact the Information Technology Helpdesk.
After you have submitted your Notice of Intention (see above) and deposit to Graduate Admissions, Trinity Information Technology will send your login credentials shortly before course registration opens. Those dates are as follows: Fall semester – June 1, Spring semester – December 1, Summer semester – April 1.
Registration for courses is done through the Dashboard portal on myTIU. As the first day of classes draws near, you can purchase all your textbooks through Trinity’s Online Bookstore.
Students have the opportunity to apply to live on campus in a variety of different accommodations. Please visit our on-campus housing page for more information regarding our facilities, eligibility requirements, and application process.
If you are ready to apply now, please go to myTIU where you’ll find the Housing System link on the left side of the page under Quick Links. Fill out the appropriate form and the Housing Office will contact you shortly.
You can find an explanation of program requirements and courses in the current Academic Catalog (TEDS Catalog • TGS Catalog). We recommend logging into myTIU > Academic Resources >Advisement where you’ll find advising resources including the Academics Handbook. If you have questions, contact your program office or a Peer Advisor at [email protected].

Choosing courses for the semester happens on myTIU as well. Head to myTIU > Academic Resources > Course Schedules and Syllabi and find out what is being offered this semester in your program.
Tip: Looking at a course syllabus will be helpful in purchasing your books and materials ahead of time.
What about additional program requirements?
In addition to classes, there are other program requirements such as Field Education, Internships, and Practica. Information about Field Ed is located in myTIU>Academic Resources>Supervised Ministries.
If you have any questions, contact the Supervised Ministries office at [email protected], or call 847.317.8030.
Register Early – We strongly encourage you to register early. However, during Orientation there will be time for further help if needed. MyTIU is your gateway for information regarding billing information, grades, schedules, degree audits, and much more. Please refer to the academic calendar for all add/drop deadlines.
When can I register? New and re-admit students who have paid their reservation deposit with Admissions can register for classes.
Students are encouraged to register online prior to orientation.
How do I register? Login to myTIU and choose “Plan and Register” at the top of the screen.
If you have questions, contact Records at [email protected] or at 847.317.8050.
For semester and quad courses, there is a $15 fee for each registration change made after the first week of the course. For modular courses, there is a $15 fee for each registration change made after the first day of the course.
In order to drop a modular course with a full refund and without record on your transcript it must be dropped by the first day of the course.
You will need to complete your billing information during your online registration session. This allows you to decide on items to be billed to your student account such as a meal plan.
F-1 students are required to provide proof of current health insurance by entering their current policy information.
All payments or arrangements are due on or before the first day of the semester.
A complete listing of available campus services can be found on myTIU, but here are a few highlights:
Illinois law requires all new students born after January 1, 1957, and enrolled for more than five (5) credit hours to document immunity to measles, rubella, mumps, and tetanus/diphtheria prior to enrollment. These immunizations should be submitted to Med Proctor two weeks before the semester (www.medproctor.com)
