Dr. Cheshire is an Associate Professor of Neurology at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. He is also Consultant in Neuroethics for The Center for Bioethics and Human Dignity. His clinical practice specializes in disorders of the autonomic nervous system.

Following an AB cum laude in biochemistry from Princeton University, he received his MD from West Virginia University and his MA in bioethics summa cum laude from Trinity International University. Dr. Cheshire contributes a regular feature to the international journal Ethics & Medicine entitled Grey Matters.
