Melody Velleuer began her musical career at the age of 2 1/2 when she started the violin. This was closely followed with the piano at age 3, and the horn at 8. She has had the privilege to travel around the United States and to countries such as: Germany, Austria, Croatia, Hungary, Russia, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Belgium and Moldova giving concerts with her family and various other music groups. Melody received her degree in horn performance from Trinity International University, where she studied with Tom Hunt and Melanie Cottle. She has performed throughout the Chicago area with the Lake Shore Symphony Orchestra, Waukegan Symphony Orchestra, Logos Symphony Orchestra, Illinois Brass Band and numerous free-lance jobs in musical pits and weddings.
Melody currently teaches horn at Trinity International University and acts as their Department of Music Coordinator. She also has a private teaching studio in Barrington where she has had as many as 80 private students at one time.
