Annette Monk has experience as a healthcare provider practicing as an athletic trainer in a variety of settings. Her professional experience includes being the first athletic trainer at the Naval Special Warfare Preparatory program, a physical training course for Navy SEAL candidates. She also has experience working as an athletic trainer at the international level as well in the industrial and secondary school settings.

Annette brings her clinical experience to teaching exercise science courses with hopes of inspiring future professionals to serve as leaders where God calls them forth. She has served TIU since 2014 in a variety of roles, including clinical educator coordinator and program director of the Athletic Training Program, and now an assistant professor in the Department of Health Sciences.

Her research interests include tactical athlete health and human performance and clinical athletic training education.
