OT Lecture Series in Biblical and Ancient Near Easter Archaeology
Join us for the first-of-the-year Old Testament Lecture series featuring Dr. Carol Meyers, Professor Emerita of Religious Studies at Duke University. Dr. Meyers will investigate the role of women as ritual experts in ancient Israelite culture, looking at textual and archaeological evidence. Dr. Meyers is an outstanding scholar, and an author of numerous books and articles. She is former president of the Society of Biblical Literature, a trustee of the American Society of Overseas Research (the premier American society of Middle Eastern archaeology), and trustee of the Dead Sea Scrolls Society.
