American Red Cross Blood Drive In Honor Of Cedar Connell
A thriving HS sophomore who loved to play tennis, Cedar was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, quickly going from training with a goal of playing D1 college tennis to facing 3 1/2 years of treatment. Cedar goes to Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago for weekly chemotherapy. He receives regular blood transfusions during his treatment, even when a blood shortage forced doctors to limit the amount of blood he received to 2 units instead of a usual transfusion of 4 units. Cedar and his family ask you to come and donate.
