In this message, we will explore the Holy Spirit\u2019s primary role as the prophetic Spirit who testifies to and reveals the person and work of Christ. We will see how the Spirit spoke through the prophets of old (2 Peter 1:16\u201321), how he illuminates the whole of Christ’s identity (1 Peter 1:10\u201312), and how he speaks nothing but Christ today (John 16:12\u201315). We will consider how the ultimate test for any prophetic voice\u2014our own or others’\u2014is whether it points us to the truth of Jesus Christ.
