Trinity International University

Combining academic rigor with a wholehearted commitment to gospel fidelity and an abundance of flexible options, Trinity offers a bioethics education that equips you to serve Christ with wisdom and grace, in truth and love.

Our bioethics programs seek to develop students in the knowledge of modern ethical issues arising in the world today. Students will graduate prepared to dialogue competently about bioethical issues in their local communities, as well as put these skills to practice across a wide variety of industries.

Bioethics Programs

MA in Bioethics

Whether you are preparing for a career in healthcare, science, law, church ministry, education, or advocacy, the MA in Bioethics will provide the bioethical understanding and Christian foundation you need to approach your work with skill and spiritual sensitivity. You will have the opportunity to network with other professionals in class and during our annual conference, where you can explore the variety of disciplines that intersect with bioethics.

MLS in Bioethics

As scientific advances become more subtle and nuanced, the need to study their moral implications and responsibilities becomes equally necessary. Our Master of Legal Studies degree in Bioethics delves into the research and practice of, for example, overreaching reproductive technologies, euthanasia, testing on human embryos, and insurance regulations that dehumanize patients. This program provides you with the philosophical, bioethical, and legal nuances to prepare you to engage in the biomedical industry while interacting with the law.

Certificate in Hippocratic Healthcare Ethics

The goal of Trinity’s certificate program is to enhance your current ministry or to open up a new field of study for you. If you decide you want to pursue further education in bioethics at Trinity, this program will prepare you for that master’s degree, with part of your coursework already completed.

Certificate in Pro-Life Advocacy and Engagement

The graduate certificate in Pro-Life Advocacy and Engagement is designed with various groups of students in mind, including those who are presently—or aspire to be—engaged in the various opportunities involved in pro-life advocacy and non-profit organizations, as well as in relevant careers in pregnancy care support. The certificate is well-suited for those with professional or other responsibilities who need a flexible 12-semester hour certificate.
