Illinois

WHY PURSUE A BA IN WORSHIP MUSIC & MA IN THEOLOGICAL STUDIES AT TIU?

This program equips you to skillfully plan, prepare, and lead excellent worship services that are robustly Christ-centered, biblically and theologically grounded, historically informed, and reflective of the cultural and generational diversity of the church body. You will also have ample opportunity to practice what you’re learning in the musically vibrant and diverse churches of the Chicagoland area. Unlike the traditional BA in Worship Music, students in the 5 Year program will take 19 hours at TEDS that will apply to both degrees as well as receive advanced standing in the MA in Theological Studies, thus allowing faster progress toward graduation.

WHERE YOU STUDY MATTERS

Trinity is located in a peaceful wooded setting, just 25 miles north of downtown Chicago. This prime location offers some of the nation’s best school districts, a variety of ministry organizations, and 12 Fortune 500 companies within 12 miles of campus to apply practically what you are learning in the classroom. In addition, Trinity is close to many coffee shops, restaurants, cultural experiences, and recreational activities when you need a break from the books!

“As a young worship director, it can be easy to go with the flow of worship culture. But the biblical and musical training that I received at Trinity has helped me navigate the saturated waters of worship culture and distinguish between what is cool, and what is glorifying to God and edifying for the church. With the guidance of the TIU faculty, I was able to grow in musicianship and discipleship.”

WAYS YOU CAN ACHIEVE YOUR DUAL DEGREE
