Detroit suburban church community seeks Youth Pastor who imagines a bold future claimed and transformed by our young people. The modern world exerts enormous pressure on our youth to conform their thinking to exceedingly unbiblical and destructive ideas. At Rockpointe Community Church we believe the stakes have never been higher for this age group! Simultaneously, we believe that this next generation holds unimaginable untapped potential. To lead them forward, we’re seeking a devoted Christ follower of high integrity and grit. An individual who values collaboration, community, long-term relationships and who practices loyalty, transparency and forthrightness. One willing to learn and grow. Someone who exercises servant leadership, strong discernment and holds a solid biblical education, but who also possesses an excellent sense of humor. This is, after all, youth ministry we’re talking about.

Rockpointe Community Church is a vibrant nondenominational Christian community located in a fast-growing suburb north of Detroit. Established in 1968, the church maintains a strong foundation of traditional biblical values while communicating via contemporary methods and language. The church’s physical location may be suburban, but the multi-generational Rockpointe community is deeply involved in the exciting revitalization of urban Detroit through a long-term ministry partnership in the city’s Osborn community. Rockpointe also sustains ongoing overseas missions including an investment with a partner church in San Juan, Costa Rica. The church community has in recent decades grown increasingly ethnically diverse and features a long and stable history that has always included a strong commitment to youth ministry. At Rockpointe you will have the opportunity to be part of a team of ministers that value relationships over tasks and people over process.
