Job Overview: We are seeking interns to join our team who are passionate about Jesus and helping Youth know the living God. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment while contributing to meaningful projects at the Free Church of Canon City Colorado. The ideal candidate will have a desire to work with Youth and an interest in ministry. This role is designed for individuals looking to develop their skills and knowledge in a practical setting. Every internship is crafted through a collaborative process to provide experiences in areas of interest for each intern.

Responsibilities: Assist in planning and facilitating routine Student Ministry programming and any trips/outings. Engaging with youth through various activities, leading small groups, games, etc.

For applicable Interns: Prepare, study, and preach on topics and passages as assigned by the Pastor of Student Ministries. Follow teaching preparation and review protocols. Provide personal support to students as needed, fostering their spiritual growth. Meet weekly with the Pastor of Student Ministries to develop personal and professional growth areas. This includes reading, completing book reports, and engaging in formative conversations. Participate in all required meetings, ready to contribute as directed. Weekly intercession for the people and ministries of the Free Church and the broader Canon City community. Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the youth facilities. Help with other projects as assigned by the Pastor of Student Ministries.

Requirements: Personal faith in Christ and demonstration of Christ-likeness in personal life. Strong interest in Youth/Pastoral Ministry or related fields. Experience or coursework in large group management is preferred. Ability to educate and engage students effectively. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others. A positive attitude and a willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
