Worship Ministry Director

Work Schedule: Part Time (15-20 hours weekly); Compensation: $20-25 per hour; Reports To: Lead Pastor

Reach Community Church is a non-denominational Christian church located in Leland, North Carolina, with ties to mPact Churches. Founding Pastor Heath Caddell previously served as the youth pastor at Grace Church in Southern Pines, NC, before relocating to Leland. Reach Community Church held its first service on September 23, 2012. The mission of Reach Community Church is to see lives changed by Christ – through loving God, loving people, and reaching the world. RCC has a high serve culture where 80% of the average worship attendance serves on a regular basis somewhere within the local church. Currently, RCC is averaging around 190+ people in weekly attendance and growing. They have two identical worship services on Sunday morning (9:00 & 10:45 AM). The congregation is a multi-generational church with a growing family ministry.

Job Description: The Worship Ministry Director is responsible for bringing to life the vision, mission, values, and strategy of Reach Community Church by leading and overseeing all aspects of our public worship services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan, schedule, prepare, and implement worship music for Sunday morning services and special services, including nights of prayer and worship. To serve with excellence. Oversee all areas of the Worship & Technical Team (currently, but not limited to, Music, Technical Operation, Planning, and Production). This position is responsible for leading and overseeing music, service planning, in-house production, live streaming, developing worship leaders, developing and scheduling volunteer teams, and expanding the ministry. Offers direction as worship ministry leadership, assist with development of musicality and technical aspects of service. Fulfill the responsibilities of a staff member of the church. Plan and execute 4-6 special events per year. Provide guidance to worship team members, musicians, and singers, both musically and spiritually to promote growth in their spiritual gifts, their relationships with those they serve, and their relationship with Christ. Manage worship team with Planning Center.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: Must have organizational and administrative skills, possess good oral and written communication, possess good teaching skills, and have a proven ability to work effectively with a team setting and groups. Attends all staff meetings and promotes team spirit and alignment with core values, mission, vision, and philosophy of ministry. Committed to the beliefs, vision, and mission of Reach Community Church. Above all, must demonstrate a personal walk with the Lord that reflects spiritual maturity and commitment to Christian service. Growing in relationship with Christ and developing habits for spiritual growth, by consistent Bible study, prayer, financial support, and faithful fellowship. Maintain God-ordained priorities by exemplifying Jesus Christ is Greater. Must be an active church member by promoting unity within Reach Community Church.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of three years part-time experience in a church setting in worship leadership preferred. Both paid and volunteer candidates with equivalent experience will be considered. A high level of technical skill is required for this position and assumes a mastery of Mac OS, Microsoft Office, email, social media, music, and video file formats (along with related software of the same). Agreement with all statements of faith at Reach Community Church. Agreement with the mission, vision, and core values of Reach Community Church. Have ability to sing, and play guitar and/or piano/keyboards, additional musical skills a plus. Have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
