Senior Pastor

Introduction:  Barry Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is seeking both a Senior Pastor and Associate Pastor who will work together, along with the congregation, to help us reach greater goals and growth in God’s righteousness. Our church has an engaged congregation with several active committees working towards each of our goals. Members of our church are eager to learn more Biblical truths and we pray our next pastor(s) will always impart knowledge and guidance from a Biblical standpoint.

Job Description:  Full-Time Senior Pastor Salary – $60-70k 14, Vacation Days, including 2 Sundays, Continuing Education and Sabbatical Allotments.

Senior Pastor General Responsibilities: Prepare/Lead Sunday Morning Services with Prayers and Sermons. Present Bible Based Teachings (in Bible Study classes, in the Pulpit, etc.). Provide Pastoral Care (hospital/homebound visits and calls, and other emotional, social and spiritual support). Provide Guidance for Youth and Children Programs. Facilitate Staff by Providing Prayerful Guidance.

Senior Pastor Qualifications: Seminary Graduate. Ordained Experience Preaching God’s Word. Youth Development Experience. Experience Providing Pastoral Care. Experience Providing Counseling & Family Guidance. Ability to Facilitate Staff.
