Description: The Subject Teacher is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging and practical lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and promote student growth. They foster a positive and inclusive learning environment and provide individual support to students.

Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Planning and Delivery: Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum and Biblical standards. Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles. Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback. Classroom Management: Establish a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and participation. Student Support: Provide individualised support, address learning difficulties, and identify behavioural concerns. Spiritual Formation: Foster an environment that encourages spiritual growth and understanding of the Christian faith. Organise and participate in devotional activities. Role Modeling: Demonstrate professionalism, ethics, and integrity, upholding the school’s values and serving as a positive role model. Communication: Maintain open communication with parents about student progress and concerns. Resource Management: Oversee and manage educational resources effectively. Professional Development: Stay updated with current educational practices and participate in professional development opportunities. Note: The specific responsibilities and expectations of the Subject/Class Teacher may vary depending on the subject area taught and the student’s needs.

Role Specific Responsibilities: The focus is on the practical application of technology in real-world contexts, emphasizing productivity tools and their use in business and daily life. Use of software tools like spreadsheets, word processors, and databases. IT systems in organisations (e.g., MIS, e-commerce). Communication technologies (e.g., email, VoIP). Data management and storage. Impacts of IT on society, privacy, and security. Focus on delivering a combination of IT and communication technologies, specifically how they interact and their role in problem-solving. Wider emphasis on communication systems like networks, internet, and mobile technology. Systems analysis and design. Integration of software tools for problem-solving. Ethics, security, and legal considerations. Theoretical understanding of ICT systems and their societal impacts. Focus on theoretical and technical understanding of computing systems, programming, and computational thinking. Core concepts: algorithms, data structures, and programming. Computer architecture, networks, and data representation. Problem-solving and logical reasoning. Software development lifecycle and testing. Cybersecurity and ethical computing. Theory and problem-solving. Practical programming skills (e.g., Python, Java). Emphasis on creating solutions and coding algorithms.

Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (e.g. Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Digital Media). A passion for serving God through education. Fully endorse the school’s Statement of Faith. Must have impeccable English language skills in reading, writing, and speaking. 5+ years of experience as a teacher or leader in an educational setting.
