Pastoral Summer Internship

The Summer Internship serves as a pre-residency program. The summer internship will focus exclusively on equipping the participants with our Theological DNA and training in pastoral responsibilities that happen in the “classroom of life.” The internship gives both the participant and our leadership an opportunity to determine if the intern would be a good fit in our Pastoral Residency program.

PROCESS FOR IDENTIFYING INTERNS: An overview of the process we use to identify summer interns: Candidate emerges (internal/external). Candidate downloads and completes internship application. Missions committee reviews and evaluates application. Elders interview candidate (in person, phone, or Zoom). Elders accept applicant into program.

WHAT INTERNS CAN EXPECT: An overview of what participants can expect from our summer internship: Housing provided (if needed). Monetary stipend (plus, offering taken at end of summer). Theological Training. Pastoral Equipping (practical/mentoring). Preaching/Teaching opportunities. We will comply with all expectations and requirements for any intern’s accreditation school or agency.
