Pastor of Care and Growth

Job Overview: Grace South Bay is looking for a Pastor of Care and Growth to lead, equip and strengthen our efforts to care for and nourish the spiritual growth of our congregants. This person would work alongside the Preaching Pastor (Bob Crossland) and Women’s Ministry Director (Jen Stegmann). This role can be crafted based on the candidate’s areas of gifting and training, but will focus on four primary areas: Care: One-on-one meetings with congregants; Mentor ministry leaders; Growth: Model healthy discipleship; Teach and train the congregation for deeper spiritual formation; Counsel: Provide pastoral counseling for members of the congregation in times of acute need; Participate and provide feedback in leadership meetings (session, pastors and staff meetings); Worship: Lead Sunday morning liturgy as needed; Preach 8-12 times per year.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate would have 15+ years of pastoring experience caring for individuals and families. He should be an ordained minister and/or able to be ordained within the PCA. He should be passionate about helping people grasp and grow the reality of the Gospel in their lives as is evident in his previous ministry work.
