Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA)Conover Evangelical Free Church (CEFC) is in search of a pastor to serve as the spiritual leader for our congregation. Our church is associated with the Evangelical Free Church of America and is in Conover, nestled in the Northwoods of Wisconsin just south of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula border. CEFC is an Elder-led church and currently consists of 33 members, with Sunday attendance averaging between 55 to 65 individuals. During the summer, attendance tends to increase due to the town being a popular vacation spot.
The ideal candidate for CEFC is a strong Biblical teacher whose primary style is expository preaching. The incoming pastor should embody the qualities of a Servant Leader and view spending time with members and attendees as a crucial aspect of shepherding the local congregation.
Position Summary
The Pastor shall be recognized as the Spiritual leader of the local church and shall discharge all the functions of the ministry. The Pastor is a member of the Board of Elders. Together with the Elders, the Pastor and the Elders are responsible for leading the spiritual affairs and the development and execution of the mission of the Church. The Board assures that the decisions of the Church business meetings are carried out and makes decisions on matters regarding Church operation and administration.

Be irreproachable in Christian character.
Live under the control of the Holy Spirit.
Be in full agreement with the Statement of Faith.
Be committed to the teaching of I Timothy 2:12-14.
Be a strong Biblical teacher.
Preferably has earned an undergraduate degree.
Preferably has five (5) years of pastoral experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
Preaching/teaching of God’s Word.
Be an example to the believers.
Lead the congregation in worship and prayer.
Administering the Ordinances of The Lord’s Supper.
Watching over the spiritual care of the congregation.
Equipping and training the saints.
Ensuring the ministry of biblical missions.
Earnestly seeking the salvation of the lost.
Ministering to the needy.
