Presbyterian (PCA)Crossroads Community Church (PCA) in Somerville, NJ is seeking a Ministry Intern. The primary objectives for the Ministry Intern are growth in personal holiness through Word and prayer, development of the gifts of teaching and service, and maturity in discipleship and counseling skills.
Responsibilities: – Support youth ministries by leading age-appropriate Bible studies and discussions. – Plan events to facilitate fellowship between youth. – Assist with planning and leading in various ministries of the church. – Children’s, Youth Ministry, Adult Small Groups, Outreach, and others. – Assist the Pastor and Sunday Morning teams to plan our worship service. – Opportunity to develop preaching and teaching skills (if pursuing pastoral ministry). – Come alongside the Pastor in the shepherding needs of the congregation (if pursuing pastoral ministry). – Assist in administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications: – Have a personal walk with God including engaging in personal Biblical study and reflection. – Sense of internal and external call to ministry. – Seminary enrollment is required and a commitment to the Reformed tradition as summarized by the Westminster Standards. – Must be willing to worship at Crossroads weekly. – Able to be self-directed and take initiative. – Commitment of 8 hours a week.
Compensation: $12,000/year based on the candidate’s availability.
