Middle School Pastor/Director

OVERVIEW: The position of Middle School Pastor/Director exists to oversee our Middle School Ministry. This includes discipling students and their families, running the midweek programming, planning and executing events, etc. Middle school is a crucial time in peoples life, therefore we are looking for someone who has a deep love for middle school students and a desire to see them believe in Jesus as Savior. Our middle school group consists of a broad range of students, many churched and many un-churched. Therefore, the Middle School Pastor/Director will need to be a catalyst in bridging these differences and creating a space where all feel welcome to come and learn about Jesus Christ.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Middle School Ministry Oversight of Middle School midweek, monthly and yearly programming.  Regularly teaches for Wednesday night middle school. Proactively disciple middle school students and their families. Be a presence in the community through attendance at school events, student activities, etc. Recruitment and training of leaders for middle school ministry. Student Ministry Collaborate with the student ministry pastor. Work with the student ministry pastor to create a cohesive and unified ministry for middle and high school students. Be willing to cover high school group as needed.

REQUIREMENTS: Believes in Jesus and reflects the lifestyle of a disciple of Christ. Seeks to reflect the convictions laid out in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. (Preferred) Bachelor’s degree or more. Is in agreement with Grace Church of Sahuarita’s statement of faith. Engages in a once/week coaching meetings with the student ministry pastor.
