New Life Fellowship of Graham (https://www.nlfofgraham.com) seeks a full time Lead Pastor who, first and foremost, loves Jesus Christ with all his heart, soul, mind, and strength.

The Church: Our current Sunday attendance for Adult Life Studies (what we refer to Sunday School as) averages 40 adults, Children’s Life Studies averages 10 children and morning. Worship Service averages 105 adults and 25 children.

Leadership: The church is Elder-led based on plurality of Elders, at present six men (including the Pastor) meet bi-monthly and as needed, to oversee the church. Part time paid positions include: church secretary, two custodians, children’s director, youth director, and a church handyman. We also have part time volunteers which include our Worship Leader, Treasurer and Payroll Processor.

PASTOR PROFILE: New Life Fellowship of Graham seeks a full-time pastor who, first and foremost, loves Jesus Christ with all his heart, soul, mind, and strength. The man must demonstrate that he meets all qualifications of an Elder as set forth in 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:6-9; 1 Peter 5:1-3. The pastor we seek must have a ministry philosophy that matches Paul’s instructions to Timothy in 2 Timothy 4:1-5, including the command to “preach the word.” He must be a gifted teacher and dynamic expository preacher of God’s word who can effectively relate God’s word to the lives of the congregation. He must be a clear communicator and listener and otherwise have the gifts needed to “reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.” As part of being a clear communicator, he must also be a good and skilled listener who is teachable in all respects.

REQUIREMENTS: • This is a full-time position, requiring full vocational capacity • Demonstrated record of conformity with each Biblical requirement of an Elder as found in 1 Timothy 3; Titus 1; and 1 Peter 5 • Demonstrated record of dynamic, sound, Biblical preaching in an expository fashion. 2 Timothy 4:1-5 • Demonstrated record of a strong teaching background • Demonstrated record of being a clear communicator, both from the pulpit and interpersonally • Married and has raised or is raising or has raised one or more children • Has or is in the process of completing a Certificate or Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies • Willingness to minister in a rural setting that draws from numerous community areas • Proven administrative skills, including successful involvement with leading a team of employees • Inspire the congregation to be evangelistic and to fulfill the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:36-40) and Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) • Aligned with our church doctrine as set forth in our doctrinal statements • Aligned with our church polity (a plurality of elder leadership, with the pastor as elder ex officio) • Able to properly balance family life with ministry, including having a wife fully “on board” being the wife of a pastor.

PREFERENCES: • Four or more years pastoral experience (Elder, lay pastor, associate pastor, senior pastor) • Completion of a Graduate Biblical Degree (Theology, MDiv, DMin, etc.) • Between 35 and 50 years of age • Counseling background and/or spiritual gifting in exhortation • Desire for long-term pastorate The pastor must strive to strengthen families and to disciple Christians, both new and experienced. He must encourage visitation with the sick and needy and be directly involved in that ministry. Our preferred senior pastor candidate must love people. He must be a strong yet humble servant leader who loves engaging in the privilege of teaching, preaching, and otherwise ministering to people as God’s word calls church leaders to do.

The Compensation Total Package: $110,00-$130,000 depending on experience.
