History Major Intern

Reports to: Secondary School Principal

Description: Grace International School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary School History Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality history education to secondary school students in line with the English National Curriculum (ENC). Our ideal candidate will possess a teaching license or certification and have a strong understanding of the ENC.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver engaging history lessons to secondary school students, following the English National Curriculum guidelines. Create and implement innovative teaching methods and strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes critical thinking, analytical skills, and historical understanding. Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents. Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units and projects that integrate history with other subjects. Participate in departmental meetings, professional development sessions, and school-wide events as required. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic performance in accordance with school policies.

Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in History, Education, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Teaching license or certification required. Strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum, with previous experience teaching within this framework preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students. A passion for history and a commitment to promoting historical literacy and understanding among students. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student learning and development. Familiarity with educational technology tools and resources to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
